For Christ and His Glory

Just wondering how many of you have watched the film Narnia (probably you all have seen it). I watched it twice myself, and both times I kept weeping during the film. I should say I watched it with a pair of biblical covenantal spectacles, which made me to realise the why CS Lewis set up the story like that. This realisation doesn’t only lead me to the wonder of the author of the book, but also to the Author of the Book , who is the most gracious Lord and the blessed Saviour.
I have a lot to say...........however, the most fascinating part of the story was that when Peter holding his sword, shouting out loud “For Narnia and Aslan!” before the enemies of the witch. As soon as he finished saying this, my tears came down rapidly. For I know that preachers are, likewise, holding the Word (the Sword of the Spirit), shouting out loud “For Christ and His glory,” or could you say “For Christ and His Kingdom.” Every single time when a faithful preacher preached a sermon, they are preaching it with the power of God, proclaiming the truth which is in Christ Jesus alone. This mysterious power of the preaching of the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ is able to break the chains of sinners so that they can come to faith to become part of us, showing us that the ministry of faithful preachers has inflicted a defeat upon Satan Luke 10:18.
We, therefore, should not misuse this great authority that is given by Christ, for which He had paid a great price by His works on earth. It cost Him so much to guarantee us that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. In fact, this comfort we received in the Gospel is indeed priceless and precious, in which we shall rejoice for He is such a great Saviour, amen.
