Sometimes we might do things without our minds

What if a Christian keeps doing the same thing, again and again, without realising its original meaning? I would say that person’s heart could have been hardened already. The Bible tells us that we need to have a soft, tender, and teachable heart that we may be able to listen to and obey the truth.

However, it is awfully difficult for us to keep our hearts pure and teachable in a daily basis, because our love for this world is so often stronger than for the Lord. That’s why we need to have the cleansing power of the Jesus constantly and the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit that we may put on Christ, being counted as righteous in the sight of the just God.

Now, the question is raised “ when will such a person, whose heart being hardened for a long time, come to a realisation that there is a need of coming back to God for help?” Truly, I don’t have a definite answer for it, because the Lord has His own plan for them individually. But for us as Christians, prayers are so important that we, faithfully, acknowledge and trust that the gracious Lord will deal will them personally, through us and His inspired Word.

Let’s not to be discouraged, but be faithful to the One who is able to take away our sins, Amen!
